Gigabyte 3D Aurora Gaming Case Review

Conclusions

The Gigabyte 3D Aurora is honestly a near perfect case.  It is very well designed and not only offers a variety of features most crave, but happens to deviate from the norm, and offer some highly unique features to satisfy a wider range of users.  It's a case that will truly satisfy both the overclocker and case modder.  Also, it is the first case I have looked at that is a mix between a gaming case and a server case.  I say this because it is classified as a gaming case but happens to sport many security features typically found on a server case.  This is particularly why I'm quite fond of it.  It is a full tower chassis with a quality all-aluminum build that makes it surprisingly portable.  On top of that, it features an excellent tool-free design and some exceptional cooling out of the box.

Gigabyte claims the 3D Aurora is designed to support "all liquid cooling systems" and I can attest to this claim.  Not only does it have outlets to support external kits, but it is able to accommodate internal kits quite well, while still managing to take advantage of its excellent air cooling features.

Let's not forget the unique lighting effects that give it that high-tech look which prominently serves as a display for what runs within.  The customizable front projection panel will certainly appeal to case modders and a real nice touch.  It will keep you busy trying to come up with a custom logo worth displaying.

Many companies that primarily focus on cases usually take some time before they release one that is not only designed well, but truly offers what a majority are really after. Gigabyte has managed to do just that with their very first attempt. It earns our highest recommendation and a very enthusiastic "Extreme Excellence Award".

Another thing to note is that it happens to be available in four flavors.  It is offered in both black and silver and there are also some models that have side windows.  I personally like the look this model though.  The black steel mesh blends in quite nicely and adds to its overall appealing design.  However, those that have components worth displaying can purchase the window version of the case.

These cases are not every easy to come by but fortunately, PCPowerZone actually has all four models available for purchase.  You can purchase the black or silver model without the window, or black or silver with side window using these links.

Also, more information on the Gigabyte 3D Aurora can be found on the Gigabyte Technology Website.

Couldn't really come up with many cons for this excellent product.  And the ones I can come up with are not really an issue.  I've looked at numerous cases and few are designed this well.  Those who purchase one will not be disappointed.
