Gigabyte is a company that is primarily known
for their high-end motherboards, graphics cards and even their impressive
CPU coolers. For a majority of case modders & enthusiasts, they are
not a company that comes to mind when on the market for a quality case.
That's the reason for publishing this review today. For those who may
not be aware of yet, Gigabyte has
ventured into cases and their first is truly impressive and one worth
consideration. Come see why their first attempt at providing an
quality case is a very successful one!

I don't typically go into detail when it comes
to packaging, however, I do make an exception with cases considering all the
bad luck I've had in the past. The case
arrived with one big hole on the side, but the case itself was not damaged.
I
would like to start off by saying that while the box itself was massive, it
was surprisingly very light. The Aurora comes with a very detailed
manual you would expect to find bundled with one of their motherboards.
In addition, they generously include some power SATA extension cables along
with some
standoffs, drive rails, wire clamp, motherboard screws, security keys and a DIY transparent panel...more on that later!

The Gigabyte Aurora was honestly impressive the
minute it was taken out of the box. It is a full-tower case made
entirely out of aluminum and unlike a majority of aluminum cases like a
select few Thermaltake models, this one is very well built and of the
highest quality. The front of the case sports a thick
aluminum door and a unique bottom vent system that was also designed for
another unique feature I will cover in detail later. The side of the
case has a locking mechanism that works very well and sports a steel mesh
vent area. The back of the case is impressive, featuring not one but
two large 120mm fans and even some hose outlets for those with external
liquid cooling systems. All ends were definitely covered!
